IISc Centenary Post-doctoral Fellowship

IISc Centenary Post-doctoral Fellowship is to encourage bright young scientists and engineers (preferably below 35 years) of all nationalities to work in the stimulating environment of the Institute.
Duration: The fellowship duration will be 2 years, renewable one more year.
Qualification: Candidates with PhD degree in Science and engineering or those who have recently submitted their doctoral thesis can apply.

Fellowship:
Rs. 25,000/month for PhD with 2 years experience.
Rs. 20,000/month for recent PhD
Rs.15,000/month for those yet to awarded PhD.

Accommodation: provided suitable accommodation and contingency grant of Rs.50,000/year for research.

How to Apply: Candidates must provide a 500 word research proposal indicating the research they would like to undertake and the facilities required. Information about IISc is available at website http://www.iisc.ernet.in/. Candidates can, if they wish, identify a faculty member or research group at IISc with whom they would like to be associated during their post-doctoral fellowship. Those who would like to work in an interdisciplinary area can identify more than one faculty member.

Synopsis of the PhD thesis
Research Proposal
Educational qualifications
List of publications

Applicants should also send a copy of each of best three publications and a 500 word proposal to postdoc@admin.iisc.ernet.in. They should request 3 references to send ther confidential evaluation directly to postdoc@admin.iisc.ernet.in

When should you apply

Applications can be submitted at any time of the year and applicants will be informed about the decision on their application within 3 months.
